I was wondering if the 3 seconds it takes to change landscapes when u slide the telecommunicate open or closed is going to be sped up with a software grade? Just an example when i get a text message and press reply and change state the phone there is a 3-4 lag before what i type is posted on the screen. Its really annoying. My old 8525 was instant when u slid the keyboard change state with no lag entering text. Not sure what is causing that to come about on your phone but I don't think it's a native software problem since it works fine on my phone w/ no delay. Do you have a lot of extra (after market) software & tools loaded on your phone? Use your "Stop All" option in the upper right of your Today screen to make sure you're not loaded down with running programs and then give it a try. I have no programs running at all. I have the stock att tilt. No software installed. Its just as it is outta the box. I may have misunderstood your statement ".. with no lag entering text..." to mean you undergo a delay in the letters entered during a text message popping up on the screen.  Now I know you convey a delay in the check transitioning from Portrait to Landscape mode (right?). My screen does undergo a delay but switches to Landscape before I can count to "one thousand two". Graphics & Games VoiceDial (AT&T network) feature I am looking for a program that I can create/clip ringtones with.  I would like to be able to make short sounds that I can use for notification (text. MMS email) alerts. audio gizmo is a good one,  It is free but there is a pop up screen untill you buy it.  Other than that no problem with it I have made several ringtones with it and they work great.  By the way to buy the program is only about 6 dollars.  Worth it to get rid of the wait screen. 2008 AT&T Intellectual Property. I recently upgraded my 8525 to WM6 and discovered the lack of take msn and windows be messenger. (I had these in WM5) I contacted HTC about this air and they told me that ATT would not allow these programs to be in the WM6 upgrade on the 8525. Lets show ATT that they should grade the software again this measure for real. P. S. Does anyone know where I can download take MSN and windows be messenger for the 8525 or programs similar to them. Windows Live Messenger can be downloaded.  AFAIK. Pocket MSN is only included on available devices from manufacturers/cellphone providers who choose to include it in the OS. I never used it since I use text messages. communicate Edited by whozethere on 11-03-2007 04:25:38 PM Its not about being cheap its about being practical.  First cheap as you imply would tell cost.  Some things/add-ons be as Microsoft charges extra for.  Manufactures then has to calculate that into the be cost of the grade per device they undergo licenses for.  Sometimes that puts them over budget and they have to choose to either drop the entire grade or just the/some additional add-ons.  Then there are the items that are not effected by cost but more on diversity.  ATT has been pushing the OZ Instant Messaging client and feels that more than covers the need of adding MSN.  Why add multiple messaging clients when they can do one that covers most users?  The lists goes on but I'm sure you get the general idea and don't want to get into an economics categorise There is a link to get Windows Live that has been posted numerous times that should solve your problem.  Happy texting. 1A means the charger is rated to supply up to 1 amp of current. The 8525 and Tilt require the high power capacity charger to deal with very discharged batteries. You can get by on another charger rated at 1/2 or 0.5A for top off charging but you can get into a situation where the lower powered charger may take a very long time to charge the batery. 500 mA will charge the Tilt fine it will just take longer. There is one other issue though - To avoid violating the USB specifications. HTC devices will refuse to draw more than 100 mA from a power source unless one of the following conditions is met:1)  Additional cater has been negotiated with the entertain device (usually a PC) in compliance with the USB specification.  (USB allows a host to provide up to 500 mA but not until AFTER the device has explicitly requested it.)2)  One of the normally "not connected" pins on the MiniUSB connector is grounded indicating the presence of a high-current "dumb" charger.  If your Blackberry charger grounds this pin it will bring home the bacon fine if the charger does not ground that pin the bend will only draw 100 mA which will prevent charging when the check is on or the battery is low. 2007 AT&T Intellectual Property.
